Firefly Island by Lisa Wingate

I really enjoyed this book once I got into it. The first chapter was a prelude to the finale and was a good set up for the book. Once I got into the book I couldn't stop reading. There was something new to experience on every page. The author has a way of drawing the reader in and you can picture yourself going through what the characters are going through.

At first I thought the idea of Mallory and Daniel's whirlwind romance was a little far fetched and would never work, but it did. Just when I thought to myself there was no way they could make it something happened to make me see that they were going to make it. But at what cost? Daniel's new job for a very mysterious man could put them all in jeopardy, or could it? Will Daniel's little son grow up in a safe environment? And what secrets are the inhabitants of the area hiding? Or is it just gossip? The reader will form many opinions along the way but in the end will see the truth.

This is not the first book I have read by Ms. Wingate and I am sure it will not be the last. I love her attention to detail. Her descriptions are vivid and right on point. I'm glad I chose this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. It is highly recommended and well worth the read!
