Miracle In A Dry Season by Sarah Loudin Thomas

I loved this book! It reminded me a bit of The Scarlet Letter but the Blessings in the story greatly out weighed the sins.

Perla has come to stay with her Aunt and Uncle to get away from all the talk about her and her fatherless daughter. Unfortunately she finds the talk here too but she has a gift, one that some see as witchcraft. How she uses this gift and the lives it touches make the reader believe in miracles and keep turning pages long into the night. Is there romance? You bet! In the form of Casewell Phillips who, because of Perla and her daughter, begins to see a few blessings of his own.

This book is rich with plot turns and surprises. At times I laughed but found myself more often than not reaching for a Kleenex due to the miracle of Gods redeeming Grace. It is a book full of Blessings, understanding, and lots of forgiveness. A must read!
