The Brickmakers Bride by Judith Miller

Oh my, what a book! The characters in this book are so vibrant and so well defined you can pick and choose very easily which ones you want to root for.

At times I felt like I was on a long and winding road, not knowing what was around the bend, or in this case, on the next page, but that is what makes this book a page turner. I could not put it down! I am hoping, since this is a book 1 in a series we will see these characters again. I want to know what happens to Kathleen. I know she has a story to tell. I also want to see someone, anyone, put Margaret Crothers in her place! And what of Hugh? Has he really changed, or is it a ploy?

If you love a book with characters you can relate to and characters you love to hate, then this book is for you. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for the next one!

I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
